Brad Nessler and Bill Raftery were on the call on Saturday afternoon as Auburn took down Kentucky in one of the biggest games of the SEC season thus far.

Auburn improved to No. 1 in the AP Poll on the strength of the win, and the atmosphere in the arena on Saturday was incredible.

On Tuesday, Nessler joined “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning” on WJOX to share his thoughts on Auburn’s home crowd:

“It was so crazy in there that we could barely hear each other,” Nessler said. “I said to Raf, you’d think that in past years, the crowd was there because it was Kentucky and you’re so looking forward to beating them if you can. I think people were there to see Auburn, not Kentucky. … In this case, I think it was Auburn’s crowd appreciating Auburn basketball. The kids outside were crazy. It’s as cool an atmosphere as I think I’ve been in in a long time.”

The Tigers head to Mizzou on Tuesday night before returning home to host Oklahoma in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Saturday. We’ll see if Auburn Arena is rocking again! Tickets are already hard to come by for Saturday’s showdown against Porter Moser’s Oklahoma squad.
