Chad Baker-Mazara, a journeyman 6-foot-7, 190-pound wing from Northwest Florida State College, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.

Baker-Mazara, who is originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, committed to Auburn after he also considered Kentucky and Texas A&M.

Baker-Mazara started his career during the 2021-22 season at Duquesne, and averaged 9.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in 24.4 minutes per game on 43.8% shooting. He also shot 41.7% from 3-point range for the Dukes. He then transferred to San Diego State, where he averaged 6.4 points and 2.0 rebounds in 12.9 minutes in 31 games and was named 6th Man of the Year.

Baker-Mazara transferred from San Diego State to NFSC. He’s the third transfer to Auburn since the Tigers finished the 2022-23 season with a second-round NCAA Tournament loss to Houston.

Baker-Mazara shot 48.8% from the field and 46.9% from 3  last season, and averaged 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for the Raiders.
