As far as remaining schedules go, Auburn may have one of the toughest in the nation.

The Tigers are preparing for a stretch of three-straight SEC road games — at LSU, Arkansas and Texas A&M — with a bye sandwiched in there.

Then, they end their year at home with two of their three games coming against top-five teams in Georgia and Alabama.

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, though, Auburn is favored to win all but one of those games. To no one’s surprise, an Iron Bowl showdown against Alabama is the toughest game on the Tigers’ schedule:

  • at LSU — 71.8 percent
  • at Arkansas — 87.6 percent
  • at Texas A&M — 77.4 percent
  • vs. Georgia — 54.2 percent
  • vs. Louisiana-Monroe — 98.3 percent
  • vs. Alabama — 28 percent

The Tigers are clicking on both sides of the ball right now, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them continue to roll this season.

The game against Georgia looms large as a pre-Iron Bowl test, but coach Gus Malzahn’s squad would also be wise not to overlook any of the three road games on the schedule.
