What Gus Malzahn said at his weekly press conference
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn spoke to the media during his weekly press conference on Tuesday. Here are the highlights:
Not surprisingly, Sean White will be Auburn’s starting quarterback again this week. White, a redshirt freshman, is coming off the best performance of his brief college career, having thrown for 255 yards in the Tigers’ 30-27 win over Kentucky last Thursday.

Malzahn says Arkansas’ 2-4 record is deceiving. The Razorbacks’ losses have come to No. 8 Alabama, No. 15 Texas A&M, Texas Tech and No. 19 Toledo.

Malzahn is certainly not underestimating the Razorbacks, saying they’re playing good football. He also said that SEC road wins are hard to get.
One Arkansas player Malzahn is particularly impressed with is running back Alex Collins. The junior has rushed for 682 yards and six touchdowns this season.

Auburn defensive lineman Montravius Adams and running back Roc Thomas are both practicing, and are expected to play Saturday. Malzahn also said that running back Jovon Robinson is starting to get healthy, and indicated that he could play more often as his ankle injury heals.

Malzahn has been pleased with the way freshman Kerryon Johnson has performed taking snaps out of the Wildcat formation. Johnson has taken snaps out of the Wildcat the past two games, and has rushed for 46 yards on nine carries. He hasn’t thrown the ball out of the Wildcat yet, but he might at some point.
Malzahn asked if Kerryon Johnson could pass from Wildcat: “He could. Wouldn’t tell you, but he definitely could.” ¶
