Hugh Freeze hopes ugly loss to New Mexico State 'makes us sick'
Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers just lost an ugly, ugly game to New Mexico State, 31-10.
It just started, but this is by far the worst loss of Freeze’s tenure with the Tigers. Auburn looked lost offensively and were completely dominated in time of possession. New Mexico State had the ball for nearly 40 minutes of game time.
Freeze told reporters postgame that he hopes the loss sticks with the Tigers for a while. He hopes that it sits in their stomachs and makes them sick.
Hugh Freeze: “Being early on in our journey here, I hope this is something that sits in our stomach and makes us sick.”

Freeze continued lamenting the Tigers’ ugly loss, saying it was a disservice to Auburn University to play as they did Saturday night.
Hugh Freeze: “Our university deserves a better effort than that.”

This loss won’t go against Auburn’s conference record (obviously), but it hurts heavily from a momentum standpoint. The Tigers face off against No. 8 Alabama in the final game of the regular season.
Anything can happen in the Iron Bowl, folks.
I like his attitude.
Best TV shot of the day was of the New Mexico fan cupping his hand by his ear as it was as silent as a funeral home at Pat Dye Field in the 4th qtr
well it sure made me sick
There are not enough rocks in Lee County for all of you auburns critters to crawl under.
It is a ballgame. My goodness. I wear my AU hat all year regardless of the football season. Not because I played a sport at Auburn but because I graduated from Auburn.
