Johni Broome is 1 of 8 players who have been called up from the G League Elite Camp to the NBA Draft Combine this week, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.

The former Auburn Tiger fared well over the weekend at the G League Elite Camp. On Sunday, he produced 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists in the final game of the day. Broome also scored 23 points to go with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block in the first game he played in.

He’ll partake in the Combine this week (May 15-21) alongside 12 other former SEC players.

A 6-foot-10 forward from Plant City, Florida, Broome led Auburn in scoring last season by putting up 14.2 points a game to go with 8.4 rebounds and 2.4 blocks. He shot 53% from the field and looked more than comfortable after making the jump from the mid-major level, earning a spot on the All-SEC Second Team.

Broome’s invite to the Combine leaves Bruce Pearl and the Tigers in wait-and-see mode for a little bit longer. When Broome declared for the draft, the initial belief was that his most-likely path was returning to school. If his stock continues to rise, things could change in a hurry. The Combine will give him a chance to meet with teams and get a better picture of where he stands.

May 31 is the deadline to withdraw from the draft and retain collegiate eligibility.
