ESPN’s College GameDay is in Athens, Georgia, but the crew found time to talk about the big SEC game in College Station.

Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso shared some of their thoughts on No. 8 Auburn at No. 17 Texas A&M. Herbstreit shared the key for freshman Auburn starting quarterback Bo Nix playing in his first big true road game at Kyle Field.

“That atmosphere at (the Oregon game in Dallas) was like a bowl game,” Herbstreit said. “I mean, it was hyped, but very different from what Bo Nix will see in his first true test of going on the road at Kyle Field. … To me, you got to get the ball out on the perimeter, you got to have an opportunity to run the football with the quarterback, and if you can’t do that, then I think it could be a very long day.”

Corso chimed in with his pick for the game.

“The Tigers have won six straight in the state of Texas,” Corso said. “Make it seven. Auburn in an upset over Texas A&M.”

In the rankings, the upset would be Texas A&M over Auburn. The betting lines, however, are favoring their Aggies by 4-to-4.5 points with the help of the 12th Man.
