SEC Network analyst Marcus Spears had some words for Auburn on Monday night.

Spears, who, along with Greg McElroy, is a co-host of the newest SEC Network show, “Thinking Out Loud,” seemed to think Aubie dressing up as the Troy Trojan was bad for mojo.

The Auburn mascot dressed up as the Trojan with Auburn leading 20-0. LSU ended up coming back to win 27-23.

“I’m not going to even throw shade, I’m just going to say the shade was reversed in this situation,” Spears said. “… Troy got a W in Baton Rouge, and Auburn ain’t got one in a long time.”

Indeed, three programs from the state of Alabama — Alabama, UAB and Troy — all have won in Baton Rouge since Auburn has. The last time War Eagle got the job done was in 1999.
