Report: Arizona Cardinals announce release of former Auburn defender
By Adam Spencer
Published:
The Arizona Cardinals hired Kliff Kingsbury as their head coach this offseason, and he hired former Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph to run the defense.
Joseph plans to turn the Cardinals from a 4-3 base defense to a 3-4 scheme, and that means a former Auburn defender is out of a job.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cardinals released veteran LB Josh Bynes on Wednesday afternoon:

Bynes appeared in 11 games last season, recording 75 tackles, two sacks and returning a fumble 23 yards for a touchdown.
In eight NFL seasons, the former undrafted free agent has played for the Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals. The free agency period starts on March 14, so we’ll see where Bynes ends up next.
