The injury bug has reportedly bitten the Auburn Tigers once again in fall camp. Tom Green of AL.com is reporting that freshman RB Mark-Antony Richards, a highly sought-after 4-star recruit in the 2019 class, recently underwent a procedure on his right leg.

According to Green’s sources, the exact timetable for Richards’ return has not yet been established. The freshman is not expected to miss an extended amount of time, but is now considered questionable for Auburn’s season-opener against Oregon.

Rated as the No. 4 ATH in the class of 2019 on the 247Sports Composite, the versatile Wellington (Florida) product chose Auburn over 18 other scholarship offers, including Florida, Georgia, Miami and Penn State. Richards committed on National Signing Day.

Malzahn’s squad has had some notable injuries and absences in fall camp, headlined by WR Anthony Schwartz, who had surgery on his hand. The injury report on Richards will be closely followed.
