More good news on the recruiting trail for Auburn as one of the program’s elite commitments for the 2020 recruiting cycle has announced he is shutting down his recruitment.

On Thursday, Georgia receiver Ze’Vian Capers announced his recruitment is officially over.

While things can always change quickly in recruiting, this is significant news considering the Early Signing Period starts Wednesday, Dec. 18. If Capers really has shut his recruitment down heading into the final weekend before the first signing period of the 2020 recruiting cycle, Auburn has to feel great about the four-star athlete from Denmark High School playing his football on The Plains.

247Sports Composite Rankings list Capers as the nation’s No. 24 receiver prospect and the No. 129 overall recruit in the nation. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Capers was previously committed to Arkansas and now with Chad Morris holding the role of offensive coordinator at Auburn, Capers must really love his decision to pick the Tigers back in July.

Auburn currently has the nation’s No. 10 overall recruiting class and the SEC’s No. 6 recruiting class for the 2020 recruiting cycle.
