Cade Klubnik took to social media to announce his return to the Clemson Tigers for the 2025 season. The QB could have entered the 2025 NFL Draft or transferred, but will instead stick around in Clemson for another season.
“The story isn’t over. See y’all in 2025,” said the QB in his post. Klubnik’s post featured a highlight reel from the 2024 season.
Klubnik threw for 3,639 yards with 36 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 2024. The Tigers ended with the No. 13 passing offense in the country in 2024, averaging 278.5 yards per game.
The dynamic passing attack led by Klubnik helped the Tigers reach the ACC Championship Game where they would go on to win after Klubnik threw for 262 yards and 4 TDs against SMU. After winning the ACC Championship, the Tigers earned a College Football Playoff berth.
The Tigers’ CFP run ended after just one game as the Tigers fell to Texas, 38-24. Still, Klubnik had a nice showing in the game, throwing for 336 yards and 3 TDs.
2024 was Klubnik’s 2nd full season as the starter for the Tigers. In 2023, Klubnik threw for 2,844 yards with 19 TDs and 9 INTs. Overall, the QB has thrown for 7,180 yards with 57 TDs and 18 INTs in 37 games with the Tigers.
Keeping Klubnik in town is huge for the Tigers who will look to build off the successful 2024 season in 2025. The QB’s top targets from 2024, Antonio Williams and Bryant Wesco Jr., are also set to return in 2025.
