Trevor Lawrence won’t officially be a member of an NFL team until the 2021 draft (April 29-May 1) but it’s pretty safe to refer to the former Clemson standout as a Jacksonville Jaguar.

On Sunday, Lawrence publicly acknowledged Jaguars fans in a wedding thank you note tweet.

“Thank you, Jaguars fans. We really appreciate the wedding gifts and donations for charities of our choice!,” Lawrence tweeted Sunday. “In addition to the donations, Marissa and I will also be donating $20K to charities in Jacksonville. Thanks again, we hope to be a part of your community soon.”

The Jag fans’ generosity Lawrence acknowledged all started with a toaster. Per Mia O’Brien of First Coast News, Bold City Brigade member Eric Dillard (@E_Dilla of tweet below) led a campaign to buy Lawrence and his wife a $300 high-end toaster, as a joke, when Jags fans discovered the couple’s wedding registry online. The funds raised exceeded that total in minutes, leading to a shift to raise money for a charity of Lawrence’s choice.

Lawrence married his longtime sweetheart Marissa Mowry on April 10 in Bluffton, South Carolina. It looks the newlyweds are prepared to move to Jacksonville.
