There’s seafood and bourbon on the line for the governors of Kentucky and Louisiana this weekend. The pair have agreed to a friendly wager regarding whether Kentucky or LSU will win the Baton Rouge Super Regional for a spot in the College World Series.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards proposed the wager on Twitter. He offered Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear some Louisiana seafood if UK manages to knock off LSU, suggesting his counterpart offer bourbon if the Tigers defeat the Wildcats. Beshear accepted the wager, indicating he’ll send bourbon regardless of which team wins the best-of-3 series.

No. 5 national seed LSU swept the Baton Rouge Regional to advance to Super Regionals. No. 12 national seed Kentucky had to fight its way out of the loser’s bracket, defeating Indiana twice to win the Lexington Regional.

The Tigers and Wildcats played a close series in the regular season. After splitting the first 2 games (16-6 LSU, 13-10 UK), the Tigers won the rubber game 7-6.

The Baton Rouge Super Regional begins Saturday with Game 2 set for Sunday. Game 3 will be played Monday, if necessary.
