ESPN’s Joe Lunardi shared a Bracketology update on Friday. Ahead of the SEC’s Saturday slate, 6 conference teams are projected to go dancing, with 2 others on the bubble, needing to do more to get into the NCAA Tournament.

Auburn remains a top seed, but not the No. 1 overall seed. Gonzaga is Lunardi’s new No. 1 overall for the first time since Thanksgiving.

From the SEC, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, LSU and Tennessee are currently projected by Lunardi to join AU in the tournament. The Crimson Tide and Razorbacks, who face off Saturday, are the 2 SEC teams trending upwards in Lunardi’s projected field of 68.

Meanwhile, Florida and Mississippi State are still on the outside looking in. UF is Lunardi’s First Team Out. MSU is the third team listed among the Next Four Out.

  • Auburn (No. 1 seed, Midwest)
  • Kentucky (No. 2, East)
  • Alabama (No. 5, East)
  • Tennessee (No. 5 seed, South)
  • Arkansas (No. 6 seed, South)
  • LSU (No. 7 seed, West)
  • Florida (First Four Out)
  • Mississippi State (Next Four Out)

We’ll see which SEC teams can boost their March Madness resumes on Saturday.
