The Hurricanes are playing in their first Final Four in program history. On the other side, UConn is the odds-on favorite to win its fifth national championship in the last 25 seasons.
Saturday night’s game tips off at 8:49 p.m. ET and can be seen on CBS.

My picks for Miami-UConn
Jordan Miller lower 23.5 points+rebounds+assists. Miller, quite literally, had a perfect game against Texas in the Elite Eight as he went 7-for-7 from the field and 13-of-13 from the free-throw line. However, he’s only gone over the line of 23.5 points+rebounds+assists twice in the NCAA Tournament. He came close against Houston, missing by 1, but was woefully short against Drake. He has attempted exactly 7 field goals in 3 of his 4 NCAA Tournament games. This Miami team has a lot of mouths to feed. Miller was one of the top options against Texas and Indiana, but he might not be vs. the Huskies.
Andre Jackson higher 5.5 assists. This is the easiest “over” on the board. Jackson has recorded at least 7 assists in all 4 of UConn’s NCAA Tournament victories and he had 10 in the Huskies’ Elite Eight blowout vs. Gonzaga. He’s also facing a Miami team that ranks outside the top 100 in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. Miami plays at a faster pace than Iona and Saint Mary’s, so there should be plenty of possessions for Jackson to find 6 assists.
Wooga Poplar over 9.5 points. Poplar has emerged as a key player for the Canes this season and a great secondary option during the NCAA Tournament. Poplar has gone over 9.5 points in 3 of Miami’s 4 NCAA Tournament games and likely won’t be a top focus of UConn’s scouting report. The Huskies will be much more inclined to slow down the likes of Miller, Isaiah Wong, Nijel Pack and Norchad Omier. Poplar has also had a steady offensive role of late, taking at least 6 shots — and as many as 13 — during Miami’s NCAA Tournament run. Poplar is also a great free-throw shooter, which could come in handy against a Connecticut team that fouls a lot.
