NCAA Tournament action continues on Friday, as fans and teams around the country look for more excitement after a full day of entertainment on Thursday.

Furman and Princeton were the story of Thursday’s action as the 13-seed and 15-seed took down 4-seeded Virginia and 2-seeded Arizona, and the SEC had a fairly strong showing with a 5-1 mark, including wins by Missouri, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee.

Some of Friday’s storylines will be John Calipari and Kentucky’s matchup against Providence, as the Wildcats look to put some separation between last year’s disappointing loss to Saint Peter’s, and this season’s uneven performance. The Friars last year went to the Sweet 16 before they lost to eventual champion Kansas, and they’re led by Kentucky transfer Bryce Hopkins.

Miami and Drake will have an interesting matchup featuring a pair of conference players of the year. Miami’s Isaiah Wong in the ACC for the regular-season co-champions, and Drake’s Tucker DeVries from the Missouri Valley Conference tournament champs. DeVries is averaging 19 points while Wong leads the team in scoring at 16.2 points per game, and also leads the team in assists and steals.

A pair of teams that already won a game in the “First Four,” Pitt and Arizona State will look to advance again, this time against Iowa State and TCU.
