The latest college football rankings will be released Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. ET. As a reminder, the first College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday evening.

The big game Saturday came when No. 8 Michigan State defeated No. 6 Michigan 37-33; so, the Spartans will move up in the rankings, but will they be in the top 5? Michigan State would have to jump one-loss Ohio State to make that happen.

Georgia will remain as the nation’s No. 1 team, as the Bulldogs pounded the Gators 34-7 Saturday. Cincinnati also beat Tulane 31-12. Alabama had a bye week.
