The University of Virginia continues to mourn the 3 Cavalier football players whose lives were taken during an on-campus shooting on Nov. 13.

Virginia was scheduled to play Coastal Carolina in Charlottesville on Nov. 19, just days after the incident, but the game was ultimately canceled. On Saturday, the Cavaliers were to travel to Blacksburg for their annual in-state rivalry game against Virginia Tech.

However, per a release from the university, that game, too, has been canceled, ending the season for both teams.

“The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today that the Virginia at Virginia Tech football game scheduled for Saturday, November 26, has been canceled,” the statement read. “The decision was made following communication between the Atlantic Coast Conference, Virginia and Virginia Tech athletic department administration.”

The Cavaliers will end the year at 3-7 and the Hokies with a 3-8 mark, with identical 1-6 records in the ACC.
