You never know what you’re going to see when you turn on a college football game. That’s what makes the experience so incredible.

It was certainly the case on Saturday in the Purdue-Northwestern game at Wrigley Field (yes, Wrigley Field).

As you can see in the video below, the Purdue kicker slipped on a kickoff attempt due to the shoddy turf at Wrigley. The result? Naturally, it ended in the perfect onside kick:

Of course, Northwestern had every opportunity to recover that kick, but the element of surprise was on the Boilermakers’ side. Heck, even the Purdue players were confused by what happened.

What a play. Now, if only the Boilermakers could do that on purpose whenever they wanted!
