College GameDay will have an Olympian legend serving as the celebrity guest picker during Saturday’s broadcast from Ann Arbor. But the traveling pregame show also announced that another celebrity will be crashing the party as well.

Beloved actor Will Ferrell will join as a special guest, the network announced on Thursday. ESPN says he will have “appearances” throughout the show. Ferrell was previously a guest picker on the show on Oct. 30, 2010, when USC hosted top-ranked Oregon.

Ann Arbor will be star-studded for Saturday’s top-10 showdown between No. 3 Texas and No. 10 Michigan. The Wolverines are bringing former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter to town as the game’s honorary captain. Matthew McConaughey — a regular at Texas games — is also expected to attend as a guest on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff show.

Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps will serve as the celebrity guest picker for the week.

ESPN is going all out as it competes with FOX’s pregame show, which will also broadcast live from Ann Arbor.

College GameDay will be live from Ferry Field on Michigan’s campus from 9 a.m. until noon ET on ESPN and ESPNU.

The Wolverines (1-0) got their season started with a 30-10 victory over Fresno State last week. Texas (1-0) beat Colorado State 52-0. Kickoff on Saturday is set for noon ET on FOX.
