Jerry Springer went from mayor to news anchor to talk show host. Now, he can add ESPN College GameDay guest to his resume.

According to WLWT, Springer is set to make an appearance this week on College GameDay, which will be airing live from Cincinnati on Saturday morning. It’s unknown whether Springer might be serving as the celebrity guest picker or getting involved in some other way.

Springer was the mayor of Cincinnati in 1977, and he later worked for WLWT, so he has ties to the city.

This will be the first time that College GameDay has been held on Cincinnati’s campus. The Bearcats are off to an impressive 8-0 start and will be hosting Tulsa on Saturday.

There have been plenty of celebrities on College GameDay over the years, so it’s not a surprise to see ESPN bring in a big name with ties to the host city. It will be interesting to see how Springer gets involved in the show and what he’ll have to discuss related to college football.
