Alabama is likely to remain in the top 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings — the latest edition will be revealed Tuesday night — but it may not keep its No. 2 spot.

It’s quite possible that the Crimson Tide will fall a bit. ESPN’s Heather Dinich made her predictions for this week’s rankings on Twitter on Tuesday, and she put Alabama at the No. 3 spot, with Ohio State moving up to No. 2.

The Buckeyes had a dominant showing this past Saturday, rolling to a 56-7 win over Michigan State. Meanwhile, Alabama was tested a bit more, pulling out a 42-35 victory against Arkansas.

Here are Dinich’s full predictions for this week’s CFP rankings:

It’s noteworthy that Dinich believes Cincinnati will now be at No. 4. There’s never been a Group of 5 school to reach the CFP, but the Bearcats could become the first this year.

Cincinnati improved to 11-0 with an impressive 48-14 win over SMU this past Saturday.

And of course, it’s no surprise that Dinich has Georgia at No. 1. The Bulldogs will be staying in the top spot after they beat Charleston Southern, 56-7, to improve to 11-0.
