Jefferson High football coach Travis Noland told 11Alive that Dewitt’s death has send a shock through the school.
“It’s devastating, one of his best friends is our quarterback and that’s who called me to tell me, crying,” Noland said. “It’s just one of those things that you don’t wanna ever have to live through again.”
According to his profile on 247Sports, Dewitt had an offer from Arkansas State. His teammate at Jefferson, Sammy Brown, is the top linebacker prospect in the nation for the Class of 2024.
