Former Florida WR Tyrie Cleveland pays up on SEC Championship Game bet on social media

Here’s something Tyrie Cleveland probably never thought he would do — be decked out head to toe in Alabama gear.

Cleveland played at Florida from 2016-19, spending time on the field in all four of his seasons with the Gators. So, why would he post a picture to Instagram on Tuesday of him wearing Crimson Tide clothes with the caption, “Alabama is the best team in college football”?

Well, it turns out that Cleveland lost a bet on the SEC Championship Game (which Alabama won, 52-46, over Florida). He didn’t say who he lost the bet to, but he currently plays for the Denver Broncos, who have three former Crimson Tide players on their roster — linebacker Mark Barron, safety Kareem Jackson and wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Considering they’re both receivers, there’s a decent chance that the rookie Jeudy is the reason why Cleveland looked like this:

Now, Alabama is 11-0 and heading to the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed, while Florida is preparing to take on Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl. But even if the Gators end the season with a win, it won’t change the fact that the internet now has proof of Cleveland “supporting” the Crimson Tide.
