Alex Fudge will continue his college basketball career in the SEC. On Wednesday, the transfer forward from LSU announced his commitment to Florida via his Twitter account.
Fudge’s announcement comes after he visited Florida this past weekend. It’s a homecoming of sorts for Fudge, a former 4-star recruit out of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville.
Fudge was part of the class of 2020. He joined LSU in the middle of the 2020-21 college basketball season, redshirting. This past season, Fudge was a freshman with the Tigers. The 6-8, 185-pound forward played in 29 contests, posting per-game averages of 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 points on 42.4% shooting over 14 minutes a contest.
Florida’s 2022-23 roster under new head coach Todd Golden appears to be taking shape, with a commitment from Belmont guard Will Richard out of the transfer portal and big man Colin Castleton’s decision to return to UF.
