Chauncey Gardner-Johnson may have moved on from his collegiate playing career when he declared early for the 2019 NFL Draft but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t cherish the memories he experienced as a Gator.

One of his favorite moments came last November as Florida destroyed Florida State 41-14 in Tallahassee, which ended the Seminoles’ five-game win streak in the annual series.

Following that result, you may recall a Florida player attempting to plant the Florida flag at midfield at Doak Campbell Stadium. Dan Mullen tried to stop that from taking place but according to Gardner-Johnson, that flag was planted.

Check out this exchange featuring Gardner-Johnson during his recent interview period at the 2019 NFL Combine. Planting the flag and getting the win is something that remains very fresh on his mind, even with his attention dedicated to starting his NFL career.
