Chief Borders didn’t take the Tennessee baseball trolling lightly. And the Florida linebacker responded on social media to the Vols baseball players celebrating a baseball sweep of the Gators by wearing Florida football helmets at The Swamp on Sunday.

Borders wrote, “You Shall Reap What You Sow,” as he quote-tweeted the picture of the Instagram story from Evan Russell.

It appears that the long-time rivalry has received another jolt of energy as it’s now crossed over sports as each football program looks to return to the 1990s glory days, this time under Josh Heupel and Billy Napier.

Perhaps not realized by the Tennessee players, the white helmets worn in the troll job were the same style the Gators wore in the one game that Tennessee has beaten Florida in football in the last 17 meetings.

It may be tough for Florida baseball to make up for this troll, as the Vols are the No. 1-ranked team in the country and have set a new program record for series sweeps in a season, recording the eighth of the year. The previous record was seven, set by the 1994 SEC Championship team.

But this will be a move to clip and save and see if it resurfaces during football season.
