One of the most interesting aspects of the SEC’s recent release of 2 additional conference games to the schedule was the pending meeting between Arkansas led by former Florida QB Feleipe Franks and the Florida Gators.

In a Zoom call with Florida beat writers, Mullen admitted that the game will be an “odd dynamic” for all parties involved. “Having to play them this year brings up things, I don’t know how good that is for anybody.”

Franks is expected to be a key leader on a program looking to change its momentum from going 4-20 the past 2 seasons.

Franks and the new-look Razorbacks offense will be led by offensive coordinator Kendal Briles. In a radio interview about 3 months ago, Franks recalled Florida memories. “It was definitely a difficult transition for sure,” Franks said. “I grew up in Florida and coming to the University of Florida was always something I had came to dream of and it definitely exceeded those. … It was definitely a blessing and I will cherish those memories.”
