Two premier offensive minds will meet this week in College Station, and Florida coach Dan Mullen has an appreciation for the way Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M attack defenses.

“Obviously I think Jimbo does a really good job they get a very balanced scheme,” Mullen said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “He utilizes his players very well. You know whether it is trying to create matchups with the running backs in the pass game or utilizing the quarterback, whether it be in read option or quarterback design runs, you know, and you combine that with a, you know, a really sound passing attack that utilizes every weapon. You know the wide outs the tight in the back all involved in it with a sound passing attack, certainly makes them challenging and they you know they in they count there’s a veteran offensive line that you know can knock you off the ball and protect the quarterback.”

All that leads to a varied attack that causes problems for defenses.

“So I think they have they have great balance all the way around the offense, and you want a veteran quarterback that makes really good decisions, both running, but can also really hurt you with his legs as well,” Mullen said. “I mean, makes good decisions in the pass game, but it can really hurt you with his legs as well.”

The teams have split the last two meetings, but this is the first time these coaches have squared off. The Aggies won in 2017, 19-17, in Gainesville.
