Similar to Georgia coming out of a bye week, Florida is close to getting several key players back on the field following injury absences.

Coach Dan Mullen said at his regular Monday press conference that WR Kadarius Toney (shoulder) and pass rushers Jon Greenard and Jabari Zuniga, who both missed time recently with ankle injuries, would likely be back for the Georgia game in Jacksonville on Saturday.

“Had a good bye week,” Mullen said. “Had an opportunity to get guys healthy. We’ll see when we’re out at practice today. Kadarius practiced a little bit last week to get him back. The other guys, we kind of rested a lot of guys. He hasn’t practiced in a while. We expect to have the guys that have been banged up, we talk to the training staff, back for Saturday, which will be a big help.”

Mullen added that very few teams in the country could have dealt with the injuries the Gators have suffered this season, and, “be in the position that we’re still in.”

“You start taking star players away from teams in big games and see what happens,” Mullen said, “and a lot of them don’t win.”

Toney has been out since the Tennessee-Martin game on Sept. 7. Mullen was asked about mixing Toney back in the rotation and how to balance playing other players at that position.

“He’ll get hopefully some touches, but we always just take what the defense gives us and if he gets the ball in his hands, we know he can do some good things,” Mullen said. “If he doesn’t, then other guys do some good things, too. Offensively, we kind of let the defense dictate who touches the ball.”
