DJ Lagway fires beautiful pass to Elijhah Badger for opening score vs. LSU
Florida was on the scoreboard first against LSU in Saturday’s much-anticipated matchup with the return of quarterback DJ Lagway back in the fold.
The former National Gatorade Player of the Year wasted little time finding wide receiver Elijhah Badger for a long touchdown reception on a 1st & 10 play midway through the first quarter. That’s exactly the type of momentum the Gators needed going into this one with a chance to make a statement against at struggling LSU team.
Here is a look at the play:

It’s clear that Lagway is back in full capacity after he was held out of the previous game. Napier had insinuated that Lagway could have taken the field last week, but he decided to make sure he was at 100 percent first. It has paid off.
“You think about him; he’s going back to his home state,” Napier said last week. “He wants to try to find a pathway to make this work. It’s touch and go. Look, the guy’s giving it his best shot. We’ll see where we’re at in the league. There’s no secret to it anymore. You guys will have a good idea where we’re at when we approach kickoff.”
Florida currently leads LSU, 7-0 midway through the second quarter.
Such a nice throw and catch!
