Florida’s recruiting class received another big win with this recruit’s announcement.

Wednesday got off to a great start for Dan Mullen and the Gators when QB Emory Jones announced his decision to come to Florida. Jones is a legitimate dual-threat prospect and could provide an immediate impact with the Gators offense.

The second big news of the day came when elite DB Trey Dean also announced that he will suit up for the Gators. Dean was previously committed to Tennessee before decommitting early in December.

One factor that seems to have impacted his decision is the hire of Charlton Warren by the Gators. Warren served as the DBs coach for the Vols in 2017 before being hired by Mullen at Florida.

Dean is a 4-star safety out of Hampton, Georgia and possesses great size for the position at 6-foot-2. Dean is listed as the No. 27 player from the state of Georgia for 2018 and is the No. 22 safety in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
