Donovan McMillon will look to continue his college football career elsewhere after 2 seasons at Florida.

McMillon announced Friday that he will be entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal when the window opens on Dec. 5. McMillon thanked former head coach Dan Mullen and secondary assistant Ron English for recruiting him. He wished the best to current head coach Billy Napier, safeties coach Patrick Toney and the rest of the UF staff.

As a recruit, McMillon was rated 4-stars, the No. 12 safety and No. 187 prospect overall in the 2021 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite. He had 54 scholarship offers.

In 2 seasons at Florida, McMillon played in 25 games. This season, McMillon played in all 12 games, primarily contributing on special teams. He recorded 20 tackles.

The Gators have already seen double-digit departures from the first roster of the Billy Napier era.
