Florida coaches are interested in a reunion with a former Gator lineman back in the transfer portal. Michael Tarquin entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal on Saturday. One of his first offers came from UF.
Tarquin spent the 2023 season at USC. He was a member of the Gators from 2019-2022.
This season, Tarquin started the first 7 games for USC. The Trojans then made a midseason change in the lineup. Tarquin returned to the starting lineup for the regular-season finale against UCLA due to an injury.
A former North Marion standout from Ocala, Florida, Tarquin was a 4-star Class of 2019 recruit on the 247Sports Composite. He signed with Florida over Miami, Oklahoma and others.
Tarquin redshirted in 2019, making 3 appearances. He appeared in all 10 regular-season games of the 2020 season, which does not count against his eligibility due to the pandemic circumstances.
In 2021, Tarquin made his first 2 starts. He became a regular starter on the offensive line in 2022, starting 8 games. Tarquin missed time in 2022 due to injury.
Tarquin also received offers from Auburn, Kentucky and Arizona State, according to his posts on X. He has 1 remaining season of eligibility.
Excited to be offered by The University of Florida again.
