Florida flips another 2025 commitment from Florida State, landing in-state OL
Florida has swiped another prospect from arch-rival Florida State’s 2025 recruiting class.
Less than 48 hours after landing a commitment from former FSU QB pledge Tramell Jones Jr., the Gators have added another Seminole flip to their 2025 recruiting class. Florida and Florida State will close out the regular season on Nov. 30 in Tallahassee.
Daniel Pierre Louis is the newest verbal pledge in UF’s 2025 class. The in-state offensive lineman made the announcement on Tuesday. Pierre Louis shared the news on social media.
Let’s ride Gator Nation!

Out of Loxahatchee (Florida) Seminole Ridge High School, Pierre Louis is listed as measuring over 6-4 and 290 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Pierre Louis is rated 3-stars, the No. 65 interior offensive lineman, No. 125 player in the state of Florida and No. 972 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.
Pierre Louis picked up scholarship offers from 23 programs during his recruitment. In addition to Florida and Florida State, Pierre Louis also received interest from NC State and Vanderbilt.
Pierre Louis is the third UF commitment in as many days, giving Billy Napier’s staff 15 verbal pledges for 2025. The Gators’ class currently ranks No. 28 nationally on the Composite. Fans can get a preview of what Pierre Louis brings to Gainesville by checking out his highlights in the clip below.
Well I’ll be dipped in doo-doo, eat your heart out cuz I’m first!
GO GATORS!
So Doc, how bad do you think Billy wants to beat the guy that many Gators want to replace him?
I honestly can’t say what Billy thinks of anything but were I in his place I would want to put a boot where the sun doesn’t reach on Kiffin, stomp him a mudhole and then walk him dry. Should Kiffin ever become HC of the Gators, of course I would support him even though throwing up in my own mouth privately while claiming publicly that I have no feelings about him one way or the other.
Note that my first answer was moderated. :)
That’s pretty intense revulsion!
I f*rt in his general direction daily.
Congrats on finally getting one comment first
Just a byproduct of chance and too much time on my hands yesterday while waiting for paint to dry.
I haven’t observed paint drying but watching grass grow will test your patience
So will trying to get a frozen live round out of a 1911 with a stuck slide – I’ve got a 5-year-old tapestry of profanity still hanging over my bench, a hole in the wall, and a gunsmith on speed dial to prove it! :)
Keep going. Now get Ffrench and Solomon Thomas and you might have a decent Gator class.
Funny what a difference a vote of confidence from the AD followed by a win over a top 25 program did for that recruiting class.
The vote of confidence was key, the win was gravy and hopefully we get a few more to close the season
Winning solves most problems.
We do need this Solomon kid
IOL recruiting has been bad under Billy – getting a 5 star there could really change momentum on the OL and keep DJ upright next year. In my uneducated opinion after paying DJ’s well earned $millions the OL should be the #1 priority
This kid will likely reach his full potential after DJ takes his talents to the NFL. More important than him will be signing a few top TP OL’s come December. They must be effective next season.
Fair points STL but if I recall correctly Mauigoa started as a freshman at Miami after UF missed out on him because of NIL. He’s the highest rated OL on their team per mid-season pff.
Les, do you recall how awful Miami’s OL was last year? Or how awful Alabama’s OL was last year? Or how awful LSU’s OL was the year before? All three had 5-star OL starters that struggled to block P4 DLs and blitz schemes, especially early in those seasons.
5-star OLs are like 5-star QBs. They need at least one year in to get used to P4 level competition and offensive blocking schemes. At OL, experience really matters.
Agree STL. While it takes longer than TP, the longer term benefits of team chemistry/loyalty vs mercenary behavior is worth it. But yes a couple of really strong portal OLs would help the cause more immediately than most 5 stars. But there are always exceptions
Les, I’m of the opinion that some more really hungry, highly motivated 3-stars flipping or transferring might do the trick at this late date – of course, that would also depend on the ability to develop then too.
We’re at #28 right now, whatever comes our way next will depend on how we play Saturday. Still pretty good though considering where we started out – so we’ll hold our breaths for an upward 2025.
Agree doc. I’m worried that Billy and the players thought of LSU as their Super Bowl and are in for a big letdown this week like Texas week. They better get their stuff together with that ole miss d coming to town
There’s no rule that says the Gators can’t have “less filling and more taste.” Get 2-3 HS OL recruits and 2-3 TP OL recruits.
I have a sneaking suspicion they may come up with a few pleasant surprises on or near signing day.
Would like to thank one of the 435 staff members for thinking of inviting the entire fsu recruiting to the LSU game, then sending a party bus to transport them!
I have to say that it’s pretty sweet to flip FSU commits :)
