The early signing period starts on Wednesday, so teams across the country are trying their best to make last-minute additions to their 2018 recruiting classes.

On Sunday, Florida made a big addition to its 2018 class, landing a 3-star safety from Daytona Beach.

As you can see below, John Huggins announced his commitment to the Gators on his Twitter page, saying he’ll sign with the school on Wednesday:

According to the 247Sports composite, Huggins is the No. 32 safety in the class of 2018 and the No. 77 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

Now, the Gators have 12 commits in their 2018 class, which currently ranks No. 9 in the SEC and No. 31 nationally, per 247Sports.

New coach Dan Mullen still has a lot of work to do to get the Gators’ class where it needs to be, but there’s time remaining before the 2018 classes are finalized.
