Doug Nussmeier has been linked to another coaching vacancy.

Florida’s offensive coordinator is among the candidates to step in at Purdue, ESPN announcer Anthony Becht said during the network’s broadcast of the Boilermakers’ game against Penn State. Purdue fired former coach Darrell Hazell on Oct. 16.

Nussmeier has also been rumored to replace Tim DeRuyter at Fresno State after the coach got canned Oct. 23. He has ties to the California school, having served as the Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator in 2008.

The Gators’ offense has improved in Nussmeier’s second year, jumping from 100th nationally in scoring offense in 2015 to 60th this season.
