Being a 17-point underdog in the SEC Championship is a tall order for the Florida Gators as they get set to take on Alabama on Saturday. But they will have at least one comfort of home in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and that’s a classic uniform combination of orange helmets, blue jerseys and white pants.

The game, set for 8 p.m. ET, will likely feature two of the best players at their positions in the country in Alabama WR DeVonta Smith, and Florida TE Kyle Pitts, who hasn’t officially been cleared to play after he missed last week’s LSU game.

Smith and Pitts would draw a national audience alone because they’re generally projected as top-10 picks in next year’s NFL draft and the main focus of each defense Saturday night in Atlanta.

On a media teleconference on Sunday, coach Dan Mullen was excited for the game.

“There’s no bigger championship game than the SEC championship game,” he said. “I know for a lot of our guys, it will be their first opportunity to play in the game. They’re excited to go see the atmosphere, have the opportunity to win the conference championship Saturday.”
