Florida tight end Jonathan Odom announced Sunday morning that he will be entering the transfer portal after 4 seasons in Gainesville.

Odom has 2 seasons of eligibility remaining thanks to a redshirt year and the Covid-19 pandemic, which took place during his freshman season with the Gators.

Here’s his post announcing his move:

Odom has played as a reserve tight end for the Gators across the past 2 seasons. He has 2 touchdowns during his 4-year Florida career, both of which came last year. He’s totaled 16 receptions for 144 yards as a Gator.

Florida had a rough year in 2023. The Gators finished the season with a loss to Florida State, a game they had every single chance to win. Florida faced 6 ranked opponents this season and lost to all of them except Tennessee, finishing with a 5-7 record in Year 2 under Billy Napier.

And things won’t get much easier moving forward. The Gators have another tough schedule in 2024 as Oklahoma and Texas are welcomed into the conference.
