Former Florida defensive back John Huggins has moved on to a new school.

Huggins is now listed on the roster for Robert Morris (h/t Gator Maven) after he was previously dismissed from the Gators by head coach Dan Mullen.

There were allegations against Huggins during his time at Florida that he choked a female student-tutor on campus in 2018. Charges were never pursued, but Huggins was away from the Gators when they opened fall camp. That led to the defensive back eventually being dismissed from the program.

Last season, Huggins played in eight games for Florida as a freshman, collecting three tackles and an interception. He was expected to have a bigger role with the Gators this year before he was let go.

Huggins will now play for Robert Morris, which is part of the Northeast Conference in the FCS. It is unclear if Huggins has officially joined the Colonials yet, as there has been no official announcement about his arrival to the program.

However, Huggins is listed on Robert Morris’ roster, so it appears that’s where his football career is headed.
