Townsend played at Florida from 2013 to 2017, and had 11,090 punting yards throughout his career with an average of 46.2 yards per punt. Townsend has been in the NFL since 2018, spending time with the Oakland Raiders, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs. He has 70 NFL punts, averaging 43.2 yards per punt with a long of 64 yards and 17 punts inside the 20.
Kern has been the Titans starter since 2010, making the Pro Bowl in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
