A little more than two weeks after former Florida TE Lucas Krull announced he would transfer from the Florida program, he’s announced his next college destination. It’ll be at Pitt.

Krull, a redshirt junior who ended a junior college baseball career (Jefferson College) to play football for the Gators before the 2018 season, earlier said that the Orange Bowl would be his final appearance with Florida. Krull was set to graduate in December, so he should be able to play immediate for Pittsburgh.

Though the Florida roster notes that Krull is from Shawnee, Kansas, he wrote on Twitter that he was coming home because he was born in Pennsylvania.

Krull did not offer a lot of production for Florida during his two seasons in Gainesville. He recorded nine catches for 108 yards. He also completed two passes for 19 yards and collected three tackles on special teams.

He was expected to make a splash in 2019 after the Gators lost three tight ends from the 2018 team. But Florida instead saw the rise of Kyle Pitts from that position.
