Florida entering trap game? Urban Meyer believes Arkansas can beat the Gators
Florida has a clear path to the 2020 SEC Championship, but the Gators haven’t locked up anything just yet.
After beating Georgia last weekend in Jacksonville, the Gators have a two-game lead on the Bulldogs in the race to the SEC East division title but Dan Mullen’s team better come with an edge on Saturday night with an improved Arkansas team headed to Gainesville.
In fact, according to Urban Meyer, the Razorbacks have a team capable of leaving The Swamp with a win.
“The (Gators) are playing well. Their defense is starting to get back together. They have to stay focused,” Meyer said during Saturday’s Big Noon Kickoff on FOX. “Can you sustain success? What’s that mean?
“You have to go play Arkansas. Arkansas can beat you. That’s the thing about the SEC top to bottom, if you don’t show up ready to go, you can lose that game.”
If you missed it, Mullen announced that All-SEC tight end Kyle Pitts won’t play this weekend and may not even play next weekend when the Gators are set to at Vanderbilt.
Not having Pitts is going to make it that much harder for Florida to defend its homefield Saturday night when the Razorbacks come to town.
It’s the SEC – better bring our A game. Play tough, hard and with emotion for Kyle Pitts.
As long as the field ain’t wet Toney will get back to what he been doing before last week. That wet feild and the way he cuts on a dime just dont work.
At least I hope we need him Grimes and the rest to step up
I hope they get Keon Zipperer involved more these next 2 weeks without Pitts.
Turnover battle will win the game. Neither team turns it over too much. UA grad so it pains me but 38-24 Gators. Let’s face it the talent level is ridiculous. Only a hangover for the Gators from last week would make it closer.
If the Hogs start turning it over it will get ugly fast.
The Gators can make a big statement if they win this game convincingly. It would be easy to come out lazy after last week and Pitts being out. The great teams come out to prove a point. Excited for this one.
