Athens, Georgia native Phlandrous Fleming Jr. apologized to Florida fans he upset in January when he celebrated UGA football’s national championship win. In his return to the Classic City, Fleming made sure Mike White’s Gator basketball squad came out on top against the Bulldogs.
Fleming scored a season-high 27 points in UF’s 84-72 win over Georgia.

Fleming and the Gators entered the day on bubble watch. Friday bracketology projections from CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm and ESPN’s Joe Lunardi notably varied. Prior to Saturday’s game, Palm had Florida as a No. 12 seed in the First Four while Lunardi had UF in his Next Four Out.
