HBO has just officially announced a new all-access college football series that will premiere Oct. 2 on the network featuring four schools: Florida, Arizona State, Penn State and Washington State. The series will be called, “24/7 COLLEGE FOOTBALL.”

The series will be narrated by Liev Schreiber, the voice of HBO Sports’ NFL “Hard Knocks” documentary series.

The first episode of the series will feature the Gators week of preparing for Towson, which Florida is scheduled to face on Sept. 28. The HBO program on the Gators is scheduled to air Oct. 2 at 10 p.m. ET only on HBO.

Following this news, Dan Mullen offered up the following comment.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to be the first college football program to be showcased on HBO’s 24/7 franchise. I am a big fan of Hard Knocks and I look forward to working with some of the best in the business.”

The second episode of the series (airing on Oct. 9) will feature Penn State, the third episode (airing on Oct. 16) will feature Arizona State and the final episode (airing on Oct. 23) will feature Washington State.

Executive Producer of HBO Sports Rick Bernstein also offered up the following comment in regards to the series.

“For many years, we have been enamored with the storylines and unrivaled traditions of college football, and we’re excited for the opportunity to expand the 24/7 franchise into the realm of college sports. Viewers will feel the tremendous electricity of some of the best atmospheres in the country, and see the meticulous preparation and challenges facing these programs in the build-up to gameday and during the game action. We are excited for the challenge of delivering a four-part series of four different college programs over a four-week period with the production values and storytelling associated with our 24/7 franchise.”
