4-star Alabama pass rusher Jeremiah Williams makes his college commitment
Jeremiah “Scooby” Williams has made his decision, arguably the best pass rusher from the state of Alabama in the 2021 recruiting cycle is headed to Florida to play for Dan Mullen.
Williams, a standout from Ramsay High School, announced his decision with a YouTube video produced by AL.com.
The 6-foot-3, 224-pound pass rusher is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 5 weakside defensive end in the nation and the No. 5 overall recruit from Alabama by 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s also listed as the No. 97 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle.
The Birmingham native has been dominant for Ramsay High School in recent seasons as he’s racked up 15 sacks, 25 tackles for loss and 107 total tackles during his sophomore and junior seasons at Ramsay.
Based on his latest highlight reel, Williams has the size, speed and athleticism that college coach covet when it comes to a versatile athlete that can rush the passer, as well as defend college passing schemes.
