Following Florida’s 61-13 victory over New Mexico State, coach Jim McElwain spoke to the media and evaluated his team. Florida fans haven’t been that excited since the Gators’ beat FSU in 2012.
The hot button question? What did he think of the quarterbacks?
"We moved the ball with both of them. Will be interesting to see when we get to the film." McElwain on QBs.

McElwain on QBs: "Both guys I thought played really well."

McElwain on future of the QB position: "We'll get in, grade the film and set a plan for next week moving forward."

McElwain on possibly playing two QBs all year: "I could see that."

Florida racked up 600 yards of offense with just one penalty. That’s a true sign the Will Muschamp era is over. What did McElwain think about it?
Mac: 'We played the game fast, physical, but we played it clean (one penalty). That showed me a lot.'

Here are other high points of McElwain’s post-game presser:
Mac on Tabor: 'He's a guy that's going to be involved wherever there is action.'

Mac on TEs: 'We believe in using tight ends. The more they can handle the better we're going to be offensively. They didn't disappoint.'

Mac: 'The fans, man, were awesome. They were into it.'

McElwain impressed with "knowledgeable" #Gators fans, who he's praising as much as his team. Also likes how WRs / TEs played.

McElwain impressed at #Gators committing only one penalty. Says they are listening to what staff is teaching.
