As the headlining Week 0 contest, Florida-Miami was the featured game for Saturday’s edition of ESPN’s “College GameDay.”

When it came time to pick the game, Desmond Howard picked the Hurricanes to upset the Gators. Word of Howard’s pick apparently got back to Florida QB Feleipe Franks. In a Sunday evening Instagram post, Franks uploaded a photo of his rushing touchdown. He tagged Howard in the post, which reads, “Alpha Dog ? 🤷🏽‍♂️. Pain done built up..”

At the time he made the pick, Howard speculated that the Gators would take the Hurricanes lightly. It appears his comments gave the Florida quarterback some extra motivation on Saturday night.
