Florida is in the process of updating Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to improve the game day experience for fans. The university unveiled even more improvements Wednesday afternoon after announcing the installation of thevideo ribbon boards in the stadium last week.

The improvements include updates to the wing walls of the stadium, and visible down and distance lines on screens inside the stadium.

One change involves adding the dates of Florida’s SEC and National Championship teams to the wing walls.

As fans will remember, above the south endzone was the list of Florida’s Southeastern Conference Championships as well as National Championships.
Those accomplishments will now be displayed on the wing walls inside the stadium.

One interesting technological addition will allow fans inside the stadium to see the line of scrimmage and first yard line on screens inside the stadium.

Using advanced image-based tracking technology from the Viz Arena system developed by Vizrt, fans will now see the line of scrimmage and line-to-gain on the videoboards and on all concourse monitors showing the game.

The Swamp has always been an incredible venue, but these additions will only improve the game day atmosphere.
